Denny was born on Feb. 9, 1945 in Phillipsburg, NJ.

His tour of duty began in Vietnam on July 15, 1966

Denny served with D Company, 3rd Battalion, 21st Infantry, 196th Infantry Brigade and B Company, 2nd Battalion 27th Infantry, 25th Division

Denny died on March 21, 1967 at 4:40 PM. in Hug Nghia Province,
South Vietnam.

His death was a result bomb metal fragmentation stricking him in the head during a close support air strike during a hostile enemy action. He died with his Platoon Leader, Lt. Thomas Joseph Murphy from Dunkerton, Iowa ( see link below) and a Fellow Soldier, Spec 4 Roger Duane Roseberry from Hebron, Indiana during that air strike on positions of enemy forces. His body was recovered.

Denny's religion was Roman Catholic. He was married and had a daughter.

Denny is interred in the St. Phillips and St. James Cemetery in Phillipsburg, NJ.

Denny was a 1965 graduate of Phillipsburg High School

Denny's name is listed on Pannel 17E --- Line 6
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington D.C.
