William's death was a result of Meningitis while on duty in Vietnam.
His body was recovered.
William is buried at Shannondale Lutheran Cemetery, Shannondale,PA.

William's religion was Roman Catholic.

William's name is listed on Panel 18W --- Line 93
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
