William Edward Clancy

William served - Sp4 - E4 - Army - Regular Enlisted Service. He was 20 years old at the time of his death, single not married. William was born December 17, 1948 in Dorchester, Massachusetts. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on May 12, 1969. William served with A Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division. William died on September 16, 1969 in the Republic of South Vietnam. William's death was a result of Meningitis while on duty in Vietnam. His body was recovered. William's religion was Roman Catholic. William's name is listed on Panel 18W --- Line 93 of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
