Wayne C. Williams
Wayne served - Cpl. - E-4 - Army - Drafted Selective Service.

He was 23 years old at the time of his death, single not married.

Wayne was born December 2, 1944 in Maryville, Tennessee.

His tour of duty in Vietnam began on September 26, 1967.

Wayne served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division.

Wayne died on June 26, 1968 in Quang Nam Province,
Republic of South Vietnam.

Wayne's death was a result of an enemy mine explosion to the vehicle in which he was riding. His body was recovered.

Wayne's religion was Baptist.
Wayne is buried at Alleghany Missionary Bapt Cem, Blount Co, TN.

Wayne's name is listed on Panel 54W --- Line 4
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
