Sheldon served as a - Pfc. - E3 - Army - Drafted Selective Service.

He was 21 years old at the time of his death, single not married.

Sheldon was born on December 12, 1949. He was from Strathcona, Minnesota.

His tour of duty in Vietnam began on January 26, 1970.

Sheldon served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion,
196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division.

Sheldon died on March 1, 1971 in Quang Nam Province,
Republic of South Vietnam.

Sheldon's death was a result of an enemy explosive landmine.
His body was recovered.

Sheldon is interred in the Klondike Cemetery

Sheldon's religion was Lutheran & Missouri Synod.
The Faith Lutheran Church in Badger, Minnesota

Sheldon's name is listed on Panel 4W --- Line 14
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
