He was fom Indian Head, Maryland

His tour of duty in Vietnam began on July 17, 1967.

Ronald served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division.

Ronald died on January 19, 1968 in Quang Tin Province,
Republic of South Vietnam.

Ronald's death was a result of a non-hostile vehicle crash. He died that day with
Sp4 Joseph Francis De Crosta and Charles Wallace Jr.
SGT Ronald Baker, SP4 Joseph F. De Crosta, and PFC Charles Wallace Jr. were assigned to A Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, Americal Division. On January 19, 1968, they were passengers in a military truck traveling on highway QL-1 about 10 miles west of Chu Lai Airfield when the vehicle ran off the road, overturned in a rice paddy, and burned. Ronald's religion was Methodist.
