Robert served as a - Sp4 - E4 - Army - Drafted Selective Service. He was 20 years old at the time of his death, single not married. Robert was born on April 22,, 1949. He was from Knox, Indiana. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on October 1, 1968. Robert served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division. Robert died on June 17, 1969 in Quang Ngai Province, Republic of South Vietnam. Robert's death was a result of an enemy explosive device. His body was recovered. Robert's religion was Protestant. Robert's name is listed on Panel 22W --- Line 65 of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. "Rest In Peace Robert You Are Missed By All Who Knew You"
