Joseph was born on August 14, 1945. He was from Franklin Lakes, N.J.

His tour of duty in Vietnam began on June 27, 1967.

Joseph served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division.

Joseph died on January 19, 1968 in Quang Tin Province,
Republic of South Vietnam.

Joseph's death was a result of a non - hostile vehicle crash. Joseph died that day with Charles Wallace and Ronald Baker. His body was recovered.

Joseph's religion was Roman Catholic.

Joseph's name is listed on Panel 34E --- Line 75
of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C.
