David served as a - Sp4 - E4 - Army - Drafted Selective Service. He was 21 years old at the time of his death, single not married. David was born on April 16, 1948. He was from Gary Indiana. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on September 25, 1968. David served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division. David died on May 18, 1969 in Quang Nam Province, Republic of South Vietnam. David's death was a result of wounds from an enemy explosive device. His body was recovered. David's religion was Roman Catholic. David's name is listed on Panel 24W --- Line 46 of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. "Rest In Peace David You Are Missed By All Who Knew You"
