Charles served as a - Pfc - E-3 - Army - Regular Enlisted Service. He was 21 years old at the time of his death, single not married. Charles was born on March 14, 1946. He was from Jupiter, Florida. His tour of duty in Vietnam began on July 1, 1967. Charles served with the "A" Company, 26th Engineer Battalion, 196th Infantry Brigade, 23rd Americal Division. Charles died on January 19, 1968 in Quang Tin Province, Republic of South Vietnam. Charles's death was a result of a non - hostile vehicle crash. Charles died that day with Joseph Francis De Crosta and Ronald Baker. His body was recovered. Charles's religion was Baptist. Charles's name is listed on Panel 34E --- Line 82 of the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. "Rest In Peace Charles You Are Missed By All Who Knew You"
